Nirantar is organising a National Consultation to critically Examine the current Sexuality Discourses in India on 16th and 17th June, 2016 at Indian Habitat Center, New Delhi.
In 2013-2014, Nirantar tried to ‘map’ contemporary conversations around sexuality among activists and development practitioners. We wanted to get a broad sense of the diverse ways in which we speak of and understand sexuality and where we locate it in our work and politics, amidst complexities in and around us.
In trying to make sense of what we were hearing, a few questions confronted us that pushed at the boundaries of our current understandings and articulations. Through this consultation, we hope to create a space where we can think through some of these questions together.
This Consultation will also be an opportunity for us to launch this research report on Sexuality Mapping
